Kick Cancer is dedicated to the memory of East Brunswick resident Joanne J. Amato (1951-2005), BSN, RNC, a prominent infertility nurse who dedicated her life to the well-being and care of children. Before her death from ovarian cancer, Mrs. Amato helped thousands of children and their families through her work at Margaret Hague Hospital, St. Peter’s University Medical Center, University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey and Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey. Mrs. Amato was the mother in law of STS founder Lee McDonald and is the inspiration for Kick Cancer. This event will help carry on her legacy in hopes of assisting thousands more children and their families now and forever.
