Lee McDonald


Rutgers kicker Lee McDonald gets the ride of a lifetime after his 1999 game winning overtime field goal beats Syracuse.


A 1st team All-State and Blue Chip Illustrated All-American kicker out of DeMatha Catholic High School (MD), Lee McDonald signed a full scholarship to Rutgers University from where he earned a BA in 1999 and a Master's in Psychology in 2002. The former Scarlet Knight is known for his booming kickoffs and 1999 game winning overtime field goal that upset the Syracuse Orangemen 24-21 in front of a national TV audience. A four-year kickoff specialist and two year starter, McDonald also garnered Special Teams Player of the Week honors twice during his career and was named to the Big East Conference All-Academic Team in 1998 and 1999.

McDonald then kicked for the Buffalo Destroyers of the Arena Football League and the Norfolk Nighthawks where he set several Arena 2 football kicking records including most field goals in one game (6) that earned him AF2 Player of the Week honors. After serious injuries cut short his playing career, McDonald spent three years as an athletic academic advisor with the Rutgers University football program where he voluntarily coached kickers and punters. He is now a certified NJ school counselor and assistant football coach at North Brunswick (NJ) High School. McDonald is a member of both the New Jersey and American Football Coaches Association and provides private training for many high school and college level players. His yearly speaking engagements include the Nike Football Coach of the Year Clinic and Rivals.com Recruiting Junior Day. He is also the Recruiting Director for the National Kicking Combine Series, serving as a liason with college coaches nationwide and works with the specialists at the Big-Time Football Showcase hosted by Chuck Mound and EliteRecruits.com. Not only is he widely regarded as a leading authority in the kicking game, McDonald's unique experience as a player, coach and high school guidance counselor provide unmatched insight for those looking to play football on the college level.

Punting Director
Charlie Titus

A standout punter at Monroe (NJ) High School, Titus walked-on at Rutgers University and earned a full scholarship after becoming the starting punter. He graduated from Rutgers with a BA in 2000 and finished his career with a 41.9 yard average on 155 career punts. In 1998, Titus was honored by the Big East Conference as the Special Teams Player of the Week after averaging 51.4 yards on three punts during a Scarlet Knight victory over the Naval Academy.

In addition to training with All-Pro NFL punters Sean Landetta and Josh Miller, Titus had several private try-outs for NFL teams including the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins and the Pittsburgh Stealers. Titus is currently a mortgage specialist and assistant football coach at South Brunswick High School. Titus is one of the best pure punting coaches in America.

Straight-on Kicking Director
Jim Cooper

A standout New Jersey high school straight-on kicker, Cooper signed a full scholarship to Temple University where he started from 1984-1987 and earned a B.S. Highlights of his career include a school record 52 yarder and 28 yard game winning field goal versus the Pitt Panthers. Cooper then had private professional tryouts with several NFL teams including the Oakland Raiders and had the opportunity to train with former NFL MVP Mark Moseley of the Washington Redskins. Played professionally with the Atlantic City Cardsharks in the National Indoor Football League and currently serves as the kicking coach at Mainland Regional (NJ) High School.

Long Snapping Director
Jack McKiernan

A former Madison Central (NJ) High School All-State lineman and four-year Rutgers University starting center and long snapper, McKiernan was the Scarlet Knights' captain as a senior in 1997. He was able to parlay his college gridiron experience into a stint with the San Jose Sabercats' Arena Football League playoff team in 1998. McKiernan earned his BA degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from Rutgers University in 1998 and a Master of Arts in Administration and Supervision from Montclair State University in 2000. He is now an associate athletic director at Kean University in Union, NJ.

Kick Return Director
Raheem Byrom

An All-Conference and All-Area performer at North Brunswick (NJ) High School, Byrom was a four-year letter winner and a two year starter for the Monmouth University football program where he earned a BA in 2002. A starting wide receiver, Byrom was also a dangerous return man for the Hawks who was known for his big kickoff and punt returns after leading the Northeast Conference in both categories. Earned All-Northeast Conference Honorable Mention his senior year and worked out for several professional teams including the New York Giants. Byrom is now an assistant football coach at North Brunswick (NJ) High School and a police officer in New Brunswick, NJ.

Special Teams Consultant
Mike Cieri

The Special Teams Coordinator at Montclair State University (NJ), Cieri is entering his 35th season of coaching, including 23 at the collegiate level. His special teams units have ranked among the best in the NJAC the past two seasons. Cieri was most recently at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham where he held the positions of offensive, defensive and special teams coordinator. During his tenure at FDU, the Devils made two appearances in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships. Cieri, who earned his MA from Jersey City State in Biology, was also the head coach at Boonton High School for three seasons, where he compiled an overall record of 25-13.

Casey Barth: An All-State kicker out of Hoggard (NC) High School, Casey became the starting kicker as a true freshman in 2008 for the University of North Carolina. He helped lead the Tar Heels to the Mineke Car Care Bowl after connecting on 10/15 field goals and all 33 PAT's!


Jake Harry: A San Diego, CA native, Jake signed a full scholarship to the University of Missouri after being spotted by STS at the 2006 National Kicking Combine Series Championship where he won the punting competition. He became the starting punter at Missouri last fall after an impressive run at Palomar Junior College. Jake averaged 41 yards a punt in 2008 for the Big Twelve North and Alamo Bowl Champion Tigers!


Jeremy Ito: A 2004 Freshman All-American kicker for Rutgers University, Jeremy had a record setting 2005 campaign where he connected on 20 of 27 field goals and set an INSIGHT BOWL record for longest FG (52 yards). Jeremy, a Redlands, CA product, was named a 2006 Semi-Finalist for the Lou Groza Award, given annually to the nation's top place-kicker. Also earned 2nd Team All-Big East Honors in 2006 and was named a 2007 Pre-Season Playboy All-American. Jeremy finished his Rutgers career as the Big East Conference All-Time leader in field goals! He is now playing in the CFL!


Kash Kiefer: An All State punter from West Virginia, Kash walked on to the West Virginia Mountaineers where his career included an appearance in the 2006 Sugar Bowl. After an outstanding performance at the 2nd Annual STS College Exposure Camp, Kash earned a full scholarship to the University of Maine where he started for three years and finished his career in 2008 as the 1st team all-conference punter!


Chris Koepplin: Kicked and punted for two seasons at Nassau Community College in Garden City, N.Y. before accepting a scholarship to University of Massachusetts after a great performance in the 2nd Annual STS College Exposure Camp. Chris earned 2nd Team All-Atlantic 10 Honors in 2006 after connecting on 16 of 23 FG's (long of 48) and 51 of 52 PAT's for the A-10 Champion and National Finalist Minutemen! Chris finished his career at UMASS in 2007 as one of the best in school history and is now playing Arena Football!


Dan Levine: An All-State Kicker and Honorable Mention All-America Kicker from East Brunswick (NJ) High School, Dan continued his kicking career at the University of Miami where he was a member of the 1991 National Championship Hurricane Football Team. While his career was slowed by a muscle tear, Dan did play in Europe and had tryouts with the Buffalo Bills and Oakland Raiders. Dan later studied at Rutgers Law School. (J.D. 97) where he became Lee's kicking mentor and close friend.

Gerry McGroarty: A two-time All-State selection and Super Prep All-American whose 64-yard field goal is the longest in Pennsylvania state history and the fourth longest in high school football history. Gerry signed a full-scholarship to Buffalo where he performed kickoff duties and long-field goals (career long of 46) for four years. Gerry finished his college career as a force on kickoffs for the 2008 MAC Champion Bulls who also appeared in the International Bowl!

Joe Radigan: A prep All-American at Hoboken, NJ High School, Joe signed a full scholarship to Rutgers University. He leaves the Scarlet Knights as one of the best in school history having been a four-year starter and earned numerous accolades. A 2006 1st Team All-Big East selection, Joe set the single season punting record with a 44.1 yard average helping Rutgers to a Texas Bowl victory and an 11-2 record. Joe is currently preparing for an opportunity in the NFL.

David Teggart: An all-state athlete out of Northborough, MA, David signed a full scholarship to the University of Connecticut after an awesome performance at the 3rd Annual STS College Exposure Camp. David took over as the starting kicker in 2008 and earned Freshman All-American honors after connecting on 13 of 15 field goals and all 16 PAT's! David's father, David Teggart Sr., a former record setting University of New Hampshire kicker, is also part of the STS staff.


Rob Zarrilli: A 2005 All-Atlantic 10 and All-American kicker for Hofstra University, Zarrilli was originally a kickoff specialist at the University of Louisville following a standout high school career in Orlando, FL. Rob was also named a 1st Team Walter Camp All-American, 2nd Team AP and Sports Network All-American, 1st Team All-Atlantic 10 and A-10 Special Teams Player of the Year in 2006 after hitting 17 of 20 FG's with a long of 52 yards!
